View from the Radio Rag studio in Oldham

The Radio Rag studios and transmitter locations were almost always in and around Manchester city centre.

There was a break with tradition in 1984. The studio was located at Joes house in Oldham.

The transmitters were located at UMIST, Owens Park and Wigan. There were microwave links and communications links between the sites.

This was the most ambitious Radio Rag event ever. There were live outside broadcasts from UMIST Students Union and the Bogle Stroll sponsored walk.
